Scamming= not cool
I get the feeling that you guys don't like robbers. You know them. They're the bank robbers on the news each night. It's the kid who takes your candy bar at school. THEY ARE EVERYWHERE! It's really hard to avoid people who steal, and unfortunately, there are some on Animal Jam too.
What is scamming? It's the act of tricking someone and then taking something from them.
How to tell if something might be a scam: If it seems suspicious, the person is a stranger, or if they say anything about doubling or sending them items- it may be a scam. It also may not be. Words of advice with Arcticstar8404: Don't take your chances. DON'T DO ANYTHING RISKY I BEG OF YOU! Err, ahem...
This page is dedicated to scammers so that they can get famous- in a bad way. That way, we can avoid them, and prevent them from scamming anyone else. If you have any scammers names- DO NOT HESITATE FROM TELLING ME!
Here is an example of a common scam:
Lets just say your animals name is Lucky Loopygem
Scammer: Hey Lucky!Lucky: Yes?Scammer: I have a way to double that rare headress you're wearing. Just send it to me! It's not a scam I promise.
(Now if lucky is smart he would say no, report the player, or block them. But we are going to go worst case scenario here)
Lucky: Umm okay then. You sure this isn't a scam?
Scammer: Of course! Just send it, I PROMISE it will be doubled and I will send the doubled item back to you.
(Lucky sends the rare headress)
(2 minutes pass)
Lucky: Hey, um you haven't sent it back yet...
Scammer: Sorry I have to log off. I have to go to dance class. See ya!
